On January 1, 1983, the teachers of North Attleboro received their charter from the American Federation of Teachers. At that point in the union's history, we became affiliated with the MFT, AFT, AFL-CIO. In 1983, there were 175 members in the local. Today, the North Attleboro Federation of Teachers is over 575 members strong, representing teachers, nurses, paraprofessionals, secretaries, and cafeteria staff. The North Attleboro Federation of Teachers remains committed to securing and preserving improved working conditions, rights, and benefits for its members. |
